is he really playin this? r u sure there isn't an electric guitar recording in da background??? this is so freakin awesome!!!
WombatSlayer2 (November 17, 2008 at 3:13 am)
Well that explains everything

Thanks :]

Regardless, you have to admit that he deserves a ton of credit - especially for playing acoustic

On the cello the G is lower than the D. On the guitar the G is higher than the D. G up to D is a 5th. D up to G is a 4th.

Well then I clearly don't know what I'm talking about. I assumed if a G to a D on a cello was a 5th, then it was on a guitar too?

I'm still new to theory. I play a classical instrument but have little theory :[

How do you figure? E to A is a 4th. A to D is a 4th. D to G is a 4th. G to B is a 3rd. B to E is a 4th. There are no 5ths there.

The cello tunings you list are all 5ths.

OH MY GOD!!!! I am CLassical Music fan and this is AWESOME !!!!!!! COOL ! I Hate Van Halen, This I LOve though! You Rock!

A lot of people can do this on guitar

And guitars are traditionally tuned E,A,D,G,B,E

A cello is tuned C,G,D,A

Prettu sure those are both 5ths
